Q: I have developed a little bump next to the opening of my piercing, what is this?
A: It is always good to come in and let me look at it to see what exactly is going on, but Typically it is a Keloid (hypertrophic scarring). Do not puncture this because it can become larger and puncturing it can cause more irritation. There is a simple at home remedy that you can do to help it to go away.
A: BC powder or crushed asprin mixed with a little bit of water to make a paste, can be put on the Keloid and let sit for 20 minutes then rinsed with warm water and followed with the H2Ocean. I can vary from different people on how long it takes for it to go away. On average from 1-3 weeks
depending on how severe it is.
